NFL Draft

As draft week is over, the Kansas City Chiefs come away with some new players.  The Chiefs were very happy with their first round pick after they drafted Glenn Dorsey.  Dorsey is a very experienced player from LSU.  The Chiefs also drafted a few offensive lineman, which was needed, and also a new reciever.

Liberty Boys Golf Team

Even though the spring weather has not arrived yet, the mens golf team has to act as if it has. With only a few weeks left in the season, the boys are getting ready for the post season, with the conference championship next week, and districts following. The boys are hoping to do their best at districts and advance into State. They are also hoping to advance some individuals into the state competition. This will be a great experience for everyone on the team, but especially the younger players that have never been their before. This will be a great opportunity to get some experience and show how they play under pressure.

Opening Day

As the Kansas City Royals play their home opener for the 2008 season, fans might find something new about the ballpark.  Kauffman Stadium is in the middle of their huge project to make it a more fun environment to go to a game.  They took down the old scoreboard, in order to add the new Crown Vision, the largest scoreboard in the nation.  Another change that will be seen is the work on the shopping center in the back of the stadium.  This will give visitors and families a place to visit before and after the game.
The Royals will be playing the Yankees on opening day 2008.  They have had a great start to the season, with a sweep at Detroit and one win against the Twins.  This is a great start for the Royals, and fans are hoping that they can keep it up.  Their are very high hopes for the Royals this season, so go out and support your team.
